Just like our bodies can get sluggish over the winter, our skin can too.
After months of cold air, indoor heating, and heavier products, it’s completely normal for skin to feel a little dull, congested, or just not as vibrant as usual.
Now is the time to get things moving again.
How do we do that? Exfoliate and massage.
These two simple steps can help wake up your skin, boost circulation, and bring back that natural glow.
For your body, I recommend dry brushing regularly to boost circulation and stimulate the lymphatic system.
It’s a simple step, but it makes a big difference in how your skin looks and feels.
Follow up with a light massage using our Sandalwood Body Oil. Always work your way from bottom to top, starting with your feet and moving up the body.
This helps support lymphatic flow while deeply nourishing the skin.
For your face, the focus is on deep cleaning and gentle exfoliation.
Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells that may be sitting on the surface, causing your skin to look dull. It also encourages the production of new skin cells, which is key for that fresh, spring glow.
You can use the French Clay Cleanser as a mask. Apply a thick layer and leave it on for 15–20 minutes. Then rinse with warm water using gentle circular motions.
I recommend using this product as a cleanser for 3–4 days in a row to give your skin a full exfoliation reset. After that:
If your skin feels congested, this is also a good time to incorporate facial massage.
Use our Restorative Facial Oil and give your face and neck a massage. You can use a gua sha if you have one, or just your fingertips.
Facial massage encourages lymphatic flow, boosts circulation, and helps release all that cold-weather tension held in the face.
The key is to be gentle and always massage in the correct direction.
As we move into spring, your skin’s needs can shift.
If your skin tends to get more oily, or you find yourself sweating more as the weather warms up, consider switching to a lighter or more Mattifying Cream for daytime use.
At the same time, it’s important to keep your skin balanced—not stripped.
And of course, don’t forget your sunscreen.
The days are longer, the sun is stronger, and you may need to reapply more often than you were in the winter months.
Spring is also the perfect time to reset your routine.
I like to take this opportunity to go through everything and simplify.
And most importantly, throw out any old sunscreen and get a fresh one for the season. If your sunscreen is expired, it won't protect your skin!
Using fresh, clean products makes a bigger difference than most people realize.
Spring is all about renewal.
It doesn’t have to be complicated. A few intentional changes—exfoliating, massaging, and refreshing your routine—can help bring your skin back to life after winter.
Think of it as a reset. A way to support your skin as it shifts into a new season.
