Crawford Street Skin Care products are made by hand, in small batches, and are free of parabens, sulfates, petroleum, mineral oil, artificial fragrances, and dyes.  I make the products myself, in my kitchen on Crawford Street in Toronto.   After an allergic reaction to a commercial brand of skin cream, I decided make my own skin care products.  I hope you like them as much as I do!

What Is The Best Organic or Natural Deodorant?
So you have switched most of your 'not so green' body care products over to natural and organic body care products, but there is one lingering item that you just can't seem to get rid of. Your deodorant. Sound familiar? You are not alone.
Back to the question "What Is The Best Organic or Natural Deodorant?" The answer? It depends. The answer is not the same for everyone. It is not a simple task to find a natural/organic deodorant that will work for you, and it may take a lot of trial and error. Since there is no aluminum (the active ingredient in conventional antiperspirants) in an organic deodorant, our personal body chemistry determines whether or not the deodorant will work for us or not and what may work for you, may not work for someone else.
I have tried numerous organic and natural deodorants and have been disappointed with the results quite a few times, but luckily, I have found what works for me, maybe it will work for you too?
Crawford Street Skin Care Lemon Deodorant Cream - I first learned of this deodorant from Gillian Deacon's wonderful book "There's Lead In Your Lipstick" She explained a scenario where she had to run through an airport to catch a flight. When she got her onto the plane, she did a sniff test fully expecting to learn that her deodorant had failed her, but she was amazed that there was no odour. After reading that, I had to try it. This is the deodorant I am using right now and I am so happy with it. It's scented lightly with lemon essential oil and rubs in nicely. Crawford Street Skin Care products are all hand made in small batches and is Toronto based. 

December 15th, 2011 2:43 EST: Crawford Street Skin Care's Lemon Deodorant Cream was just selected as "Product of the Week" on mommayogi.com.  Karen is a registered holistic nutritionist, yoga instructor, and and avid cook so it's an honour that she picked this product as her favourite on her blog. Here's what Karen says: "So my pick this week is deodorant, it absorbs into our skin more than most personal care products. However finding one that works with your own personal body chemistry is quite hard. I have tested at least 6. Tom’s of Maine was one of my favorites, however I know others who didn’t like it (so I generally don’t say it is the best). For my birthday my cousin got me deodorant (I know sounds strange but she REALLY wanted me to try it) So I did and I am hooked! And the best part is it comes from Toronto!!!!"
